Code of Ethics
Legitimate companies are responsible and ethical when it come to busines practices and consumer relations. Most reputable companies will have a Code of Ethics they abide by to guide their ethical behavior.
The Southwestern Company and over 200 Direct Selling Association member companies abide by a strict Code of Ethics that addresses both the consumer and the independent seller.
The Code is enforced by an independent Code Administrator who is not affiliated with the Direct Selling Association or any member company. Each member company has agreed in writing to abide by and honor the Code and any decision the Administrator concludes.
Traveling sales crews and other shady, transient operators do not have a structured system in place to funnel complaints and address them in a timely manner.
